Decor is nicely themed & interesting. Clean inside & love the patio... they have a large menu with many options even for the pups! I got a mushroom burger & chili tots. Good size portions & good flavors. Service was ok, I think they were just annoyed I was there close to closing... I try to not to that but they do close kinda early during the week & I was going for dinner this time. I've also been here for breakfast & lunch. Always good food & affordable mimosas for brunch is always nice! I also wish they would've put napkins & plastic silverware in the bag since I was only given the option to take my food to go...

Overall great little local spot with authentic service! We went during the unlimited pancakes season which was delicious. Very cozy atmosphere. Suggest going early to get a spot inside. Glad it had parking!

We were in Big Bear working on the family cabin this past weekend and wanted some burgers for dinner. The Broadway Cafe is just a mile away from the house so I called and placed an order to pickup. I arrived a few minutes early and they were still making our meal so I got to chat with the staff and I believe the owner, and everyone was very cordial and friendly. The restaurant has a few tables inside but has a great outdoor dining area that we'll definitely try next time because they welcome dogs outside. I ordered the patty melt and fries, and my husband had the bacon avocado burger and onion rings. The burgers were perfectly cooked with all fresh ingredients and while the French fries were good, the onion rings were outstanding! They looked and tasted homemade and they made sure to ask if we needed ketchup or ranch dressing or BBQ sauce for the fries and rings. Besides our dinner choices, there are a lot of great food options on their menu and we'll be sure to try more dishes the next time we go.

Felt like chili and tater tots. This seemed to be the only place in Big Bear that had both options. So away we went. It didn't dawn on us until we got there that it's called "Broadway" because the entire place is decked in with old Playbills! So cool. They had an original one from what looks like the original production of Oliver! as well as a ton of other original productions from NYC, and others from LA. Chili was great, but would prefer it to be hotter. Tots were great. Service is slow, but it's ok. There's also this pinball machine thing that spews out small bouncy balls for 25 cents a piece. Totally cute. It's COLD inside (maybe we weren't used to the cold, but it was cold). But they were super accommodating when I asked if we could turn off the ceiling fan. There is also outdoor seating. Parking is easy. They have a lot. (From October 2019)

This small, homey cafe is what you'd expect when you step into a small town eatery. The menu spans classic American to Midwest to Hawaiian, essentially has something for everyone. The staff were welcoming and very accommodating. Our table ordered cheeseburgers and a loco moco. While I wasn't able to try the loco moco, I do agree their burgers is probably one of the best burgers I've had. It wasn't the best because it was overly complicated. It was the best because it kept the classic, backyard structure. Each bite was a flood of football tailgates, 4th of July parties and the Star Spangled Banner. The bun was nicely toasted, the patty was thick and juicy while the sauce was saucing. The sides were also great. I suggest getting the fried zucchinis. They're addictive, a balance of crunch and healthy freshness. The onion rings were the perfect level of breading and onion, not the usual compromise between a sliver of onion and a thick batter. You can tell they have pride in their food and if you're ever hitting the slopes, grab some food to-go rather than buying at the resort.
